George Trautwein, the former Blind Brook Middle School and High School chorus director passed away on March 18th after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Mr. Trautwein death has will be honored by having the Blind Brook High School auditorium named after him.
Blind Brook Board of Education President Steven Kaplan has told students and parents that the board will dedicate the auditorium in Trautwein’s memory. He also has said the board also supports creating an arts endowment in Mr. Trautwein’s name.
Recently, Matt Miller, a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, used his weekly column in the Washington Post to pay tribute to Mr. Trautwein.
